This quiet home on Wolf Creek has passed from father to son. In honor of the elder, the son chose to incorporate material also inherited from his father into their remodel. We installed Douglas Fir floor, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and finally this feature breakfast table. The benches were originally a single six foot pew salvaged from a local church’s surplus. We divided into two and matched new ends for it (from material passed down with the property of course!) The Black Walnut selected for this table was resawn, bookmatched, and vacuum laminated to create the incredible pattern you see.
This continuity of family and generational identity is what New Legacy is all about. Craftsmanship is a wonderful medium for communicating our regard for each other. Who would you like to honor with a New Legacy?
